The European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) is an alliance of European public research centres and universities. It is one of the cornerstones of the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan). EERA brings together more than 160 research centres and universities. Actively working together on 17 joint research programmes, they build on national research initiatives. EERA works together with European industrial platforms to align research and innovation priorities. The European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) contributes to coordinate a massive public research effort to develop more efficient and cheaper low carbon energy technologies.
The European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) is an initiative supported by the European Commission bringing together cities, industry, SMEs, banks, research and other smart city actors. It intends to improve citizens’ quality of life, increase competitiveness of Europe’s industry and innovative SMEs, and support in finding the right partners and solutions in order to achieve social, environmental and economic sustainability for our cities.
